Meredith Corson - Treasure Island, Florida

Meredith was raised in New Bedford, MA. She relocated to Florida in 1980 and started sculpting sand as a hobby. In 1996 she began sculpting professionally. Meredith is a very ambitious and competitive sculptor. She is the first woman to win a solo medal at the World Championships. She has also won in the Doubles division of the World Championships. In addition to her World Championship titles, Meredith has medaled more than 30 times, has earned 8 People’s Choice awards, 2 Sculptor’s Choice awards and 2 host organization awards.

Meredith and her partner, Dan Doubleday, appeared on all three episodes of the Travel Channel’s Sand Blasters: The Extreme Sand Sculpting Championship, winning 1st place in 2007.
